Week 8 NFL Picks

Minnesota Vikings (6-1) at Green Bay Packers  (4-2)
Favre will put a nail in his old fans hearts as defeats the Packers for the second time.

Houston Texans (4-3)
at Buffalo Bills (3-4)

Bills could pull an upset like I also said last week but like last week I am going with favorite. The Bills didn't put the Jets away despite all the turnovers they forced in their win last. Also I don't think the Bills can keep up with the high powered Texan offense, that is unless Terrell Owens emerges.

Cleveland Browns (1-6) at Chicago Bears (3-3)
The Bears quite frankly aren't who we thought they would be and a Brown win isn't so far fetched considering how close they played the Bengals. But I am picking Chicago because they are playing at home and I think Matt Forte should be able to get something going on the ground.

Seattle Seahawks (2-4) at Dallas Cowboys (4-2)
As much as I would like to pick the Seahawks, I feel they are simply out talented by the Cowboys.

St.Louis Rams (0-7) at Detroit Lions (1-5)
Possibly the last chance the Rams have at winning this season. They have to be frustrated with the lack of success. The reason I pick the Rams is the Lions have given up so many points this season, and have a few key injuries they will limit them. The game will be won through the ground. So which ever back has the most success I expect to be on the winning team.

(Alex Smith starts this week)

San Francisco 49ers (3-3) at Indianapolis Colts (6-0)
An inexperienced quarterback starting at Indy does not make for a good combination. If the 49ers were to win they would need to pull some big plays and be able to pressure Manning.

Miami Dolphins (2-4) at New York Jets (4-3)
They beat them once, I think they can do it again. They are a very good team despite their 2-4 record.

Denver Broncos (6-0) at Baltimore Ravens (3-3)
Have the Ravens beat an Elite team this season?

New York Giants (5-2) at Philadelphia Eagles (4-2)
Eagles will be without Brian Westbrook which is a huge loss to the team going into this weeks matchup.

Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3) at Tennessee Titans (0-6)
As horrible as the Titans have been and how badly they got beaten by the Jags previously this could be a really tight game. I got to have faith my team will pull it off. But I am not 100% confident.

Oakland Raiders (2-5) at San Diego Chargers (3-3)
Honestly if Russell wasn't starting I would pick the Raiders but he is and he is horrible.

Carolina Panthers (2-4) at Arizona Cardinals (4-2)
I was saying all last season the Panthers were a fluke. Their quarterback just isn't very good.  But now finally everyone else has realized that. The Cardinals are the number 1 run defense so the Panthers will be forced to pass early and often.

Atlanta Falcons (4-2) at New Orleans Saints (6-0)
Toughest challenge they will have until the week 14 rematch with the Falcons. Saints are playing so well 16-0 is not out of the question.
